These terms govern your use of White Whale (the "service"), operated by The White Whale Crew ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

What the service does

White Whale helps you search for and monitor secondhand and vintage listings across third-party marketplaces, using AI to match items to what you're hunting, and sends you alerts when likely matches appear.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 and able to enter a binding agreement. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and let us know of any unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

• Use the service for your own personal hunting, not to scrape or resell our results in bulk.
• Don't misuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service.
• Don't upload content you don't have the right to, or anything unlawful.

Third-party listings and marketplaces

Listings we surface come from independent third-party marketplaces. We don't sell those items, set their prices, verify their authenticity, or control their availability — a listing may sell, change, or disappear at any time. Any purchase is solely between you and the marketplace or seller, under their terms.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links; we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. This never influences which listings we show.

Plans and limits

The service may offer free and paid plans with different monthly hunt allowances and features. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes to plans or pricing.

No guarantee of results

We work hard to find your piece, but we can't guarantee that a given item will be found, matched, in stock, correctly priced, or still available when you act. Alerts and match scores are provided on a best-effort basis.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To that extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from third-party marketplaces, listings, or your purchases.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, aim to notify you.
